Whale watching is one of the most exciting activities you may ever experience but beware – you may get ‘hooked’ for life! You will be amazed by these “gentle giants” as we watch them feed, play and migrate through our study area around the Bonavista peninsula (the historical Heritage sites of Trinity and Bonavista are in the area).

Atlantic Adventurer is a trawler sailer, fully certified by Transport Canada. Due to its unique design features, the vessel provides the spacious and luxurious accommodations of a trawler yacht, coupled with all the diversity, excitement and satisfaction of blue water sailing. There is a large heated pilothouse, inside and outside steering, a fully equipped galley and two private staterooms with private heads (bathrooms). Step back in time and experience the Old World Charm of St. Brendan’s. Originally known as Shoal Bay, St. Brendan’s was eventually named for a legendary Irish explorer. St. Brendan’s is located on Cottel’s Island, accessible by a 45 minute ferry ride which departs from the wharf in Burnside several times a day. This boat tour provides a wonderful opportunity to view the pristine waters and coastlines of Bonavista Bay. While visiting the island, arrangements may be made with local residents to see Newfoundland ponies. St. Brendan’s is a great place to pass away an afternoon by picnicking and exploring this lovely island.
